today
along with a dear friend & her children
my margo and i
headed to city hall
to hear what some elected officials and ministers had to say about *equality*
the media was there
and allowed to ask questions;
however
we citizens were not -
and if we did pose a question
were labeled ‘hecklers’
is the media not there to observe and document?!
why were the citizens not given equal time to express our views?!
or presented the opportunity to ask legitimate questions?
& they dared not address the question i posed
about the bible condoning slavery -
it comes down to this:
these people feel the united states was built upon the bible
and that their interpretation of the bible should be the law;
this would mean
those who are not straight
are not considered fit in the eyes of god
and therefore should not be given equal rights
for more information on this matter
and the tennesee equality project in support of fairness

My dear, you are an amazing human being. You stood up today for truth and justice. The way of Love will prevail. God is not hatred, or bigotry. Thank you for being you, my friend.
