I love this, and I am going to frame ours as Jasper’s birthday gift – he turns 22 on the 10th!

I love this print soooo much! The second half of 08 was the pits – this is a beautiful reminder for having a posi-attitude in 09′. I promise to give this a beautiful home in Boston… Thanks again.

  3. K. Yopio says:

It is within these types of evocative prints that accountability is owned, is willingly chosen, and a care for the well-being of the whole is embodied so beautifully- bold, vivid colors in contrast to the drab surroundings; a positive, life affirming message within an economically depressed area; both- an outward manifestation of what’s inside you, my friend- survival through hopes and dreams of a better tomorrow. Individual transformation is not the sole point contained herein, though, dear witness: it also intimates a weaving and strengthening of the fabric within our very communities via collective effort; an effort beginning with a shift in our mindsets about genuine connectedness, and the creation of communities truly worthy of our living in. How? Through a strengthening of mutual-ism and inter-generational ties, as well as, action and activism. Keep pen to the journal and an eye to the aperture as you ever advance a new national narrative, themes we both aspire to achieving: ones easily identifiable, emotionally resonant and redolent of optimistic experiences. I am in awe of the woman you have become and am a much finer person for the wisdoms and insights you have shared and shown and bestowed through the decades. This print will be cherished, without end, as are you. All the best… you deserve nothing less!
